Tom Schwab is a former New York City television news reporter and anchor for WRNN-TV (Regional News Network). From 2004 to 2008, Schwab was featured on several newscasts including Metro News Live, News Center Now, and Richard French Live. Schwab who was represented by the Napoli Management Group covered such notable stories as the Pope's visit to NYC, the Hudson Valley mall shooting, the Eliot Spitzer sex scandal, the 2004 Republican National Convention, the tsunami in Indonesia, the Sean Bell protest, the NYC transit strike, and was one of the first reporters live at the scene of Corey Lidle's plane crash into a NYC apartment building in 2006. Schwab is now a freelance communications consultant/reporter and teaches English to public school students in northern New Jersey.

Prior to his work at RNN, Schwab managed media relations for United Business Media's broadcast PR firm and served as an associate producer and news copy editor for PR Newswire's multi-media and editorial divisions. In addition, he's worked for NBC News and the NY Times along with internships at WNBC-TV and NY1. Schwab graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marist College in 1999 with a BA in communications and minor in philosophy.  While at Marist, he served as news director for the college's television news station, hosted a radio news program, and wrote front page stories for the campus newspaper.

He's received numerous awards and recognition for his work in television news including a NY State Broadcasters Association Award.  At Marist, he received the baccalaureate award for excellence in communication in 1999.  Prior to that, he was presented with the prestigious media-journalism fellowship from the International Radio and Television Society in 1998 and was named “Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges.”
