     On August 28th, 1994, TRN News closed up shop for good. Tom Schwab's decision to end the program was a difficult but necessary one to make. And although it's been several years since TRN's last broadcast, one can still feel its presence in Tom's basement where 'Studio AB' once thrived. A commemorative plaque marks the location where young people once tested their skills "on the air" and learned about life through the art of television news -- it reads: 'Let it be known that between the years 1989 and 1994, an extraordinary project took place in the hearts and minds of ten people who were proud to call themselves the TRN News team.' - Tom Schwab. During TRN's final taping, everyone associated with the program paid tribute to mark the occasion. A special farewell party took place in the newsroom where long-time members of the network as well as friends and family gathered to say goodbye.
